توفى الرجل الأكثر بدانة في العالم عن عمر يناهز الـ33 عامًا. وحسبما نشرت صحيفة “ديلى ميل” البريطانية، توفى “كارل تومسون” في منزله بـ “دوفر”، كينت، ببريطانيا عقب أسابيع من طلبه المساعدة لإنقاص وزنه، حيث وصل وزنه إلى 416 كيلوجرامًا وكان يعتمد على مقدمى الرعاية لخدمته.

، وكان الأطباء قد حذروه من أنه سيموت إذا لم يفقد وزنه ولم ترجح الشرطة وجود شبهة جنائية في الوفاة.
